Justice Pathak Rules Out Any Leak At His End
New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Justice Raghunandan Swarup Pathak, who inquired into Iraq's oil-for-food scam, today ruled out any leak at his end of his Report to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Asked by journalists at the Indian Law Institute's 50th anniversary celebration, the former Chief Justice declined to disclose his findings or answer questions about them.
But Justice Pathak, a former Judge of the International Court of Justice, said there was no leak of the report at his end.
He declined to speculate whether any leak might possibly have occurred at the Prime Minister's Office.
The government was accused in Parliament today of having leaked to media 'select' portions of the Report, supposedly indicting former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh, but giving the Congress Party a clean chit.
The Report was submitted to Prime Minister Singh yesterday.
Justice Pathak was approached for comment just as Prime Minister was leaving the Vigyan Bhavan after having made his speech.
