IT conducts searches in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Aug 4 (UNI) Income Tax officials today conducted simultaneous raids at over 40 places in five different cities.

Income Tax office sources said the raids were conducted at the residences and offices of businessmen in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Porbandar.

These businessmen are mainly engaged in selling and purchasing of land, or dealing in coal and scraps, sources said. Over 200 IT officials had been deployed to conduct the raids.
