JERUSALEM, Aug 3 (Reuters) Israeli Defence Minister Amir Peretz today asked the army to prepare for a possible push north to Lebanon's Litani river to stop Hizbollah rocket fire, Israel's Channel Two television reported.
Channel Two said any push to the Litani, some 20 KM north of the Israeli-Lebanese border, would require approval from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's cabinet.
