Hearing of Ajit Sarkar murder case continues

Patna, Aug 4 (UNI) Following an order from the Supreme Court, hearing of MLA Ajit Sarkar murder case continued on a day to day basis in a local sessions court here today.

Additional district and sessions judge of Patna Jayant Kumar Sen started the day to day hearing in the case from yesterday and the CBI presented the witnesses.

MLA Ajit Sarkar was shot dead at Purnia in 1998 and the CBI had investigated the case.

RJD MP Pappu Yadav, currently lodged in Tihar Jail of New Delhi, and former MLA Rajan Tiwary were among the accused in the case.
