Haryana to set up transport hub

Chandigarh, Aug 4 (UNI) The Haryana government has announced to set up a transport hub over an area of 1000 acres in a phased manner to meet the requirements of industrial development in Gurgaon, Manesar and Bawal.

A spokesman for the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) said 200 acres of land for the first phase of the project was in the final stages of acquisition.

He said an additional area of land measuring about 629 acres was being acquired at Industrial Model Township, Manesar to meet the ever growing demand for industrial plots in this complex.

Besides, 683 acres were being acquired for carving out a new residential sector in this township.

He described the Industrial Model Township, Manesar near Gurgaon as a flagship industrial complex of the HSIIDC and said that it had witnessed an unprecedented growth during the tenure of the present Government.

A large number of multi-nationals and domestic companies have set up their project in this industrial township, he added.
