Girl students allege ill treatment by hostel administration

Ahmedabad, Aug 4 (UNI) About 20 inmates of Sardamandir Vikas Gruh, a girls hostel run by a social organisation located in posh Ellisbridge area of the city, today staged an agitation against secretary Damayanti Bhatt, alleging that they are being denied proper food.

The girl students staged the protest by walking out of the premises and held a demonstration against Ms Bhatt.

The students alleged that the secretary was compelling them to do odd jobs, they alleged.

However, the higher authorities of the Vikas Grhu promptly intervened and shifted the protesting girls to Mahipatram Ashram in Raipur area of the city.

Ms Bhatt claimed that her actions were intended to instil discipline in them.
