Export of Wool and Wool blended textiles up by 67% in April'06

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) The export of Wool, Wool Blended Textiles and Readymade Garments including Knitwear, registered a jump of 66.83 per cent at Rs 186.83 crore during April 2006 as against Rs 111.99 crore during the same month last year.

In order to address the problems of the Hosiery Exporters, Wool and Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC) has taken up the matter regarding early settlement of Freight Subsidy Claims and refund of VAT, with the Punjab Government as these claims of the exporters have been pending for more than a year, a WWEPC release said here today.
