Emperor Shahjahan's 351st 'urs' from Aug 20
Agra, Aug 4 (UNI) Mughal emperor Shahjahan's 351st 'urs' will be celebrated with pomp and usual fervour at the world famous Taj Mahal here.
The three-day event, starting August 20, would be witnessed by a large number of tourists from the world over.
The exquisite craftsmanhip of the Taj will regale its audience with a virtual symphony of historic ambience juxtoposed with festivity.
Preparations for the grand event have been undertaken by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI).
The event, which comes to an end on August 22, would allow free entry to foreigners.
Various musical and spiritual programmes will also be organised by Muslims to add sparkle to the event.
Meanwhile, security is being beefed up around the magnificient edifice to deal with any eventuality.
Thousands of pilgrims returning from a visit to nearby Ajmer Sharif can hardly resist the temptation to have a glimpse of the monument of love.
