New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh has so far received investment proposals of Rs one lakh crore in various sectors including power generation, petrochemicals and textiles, out of which work has begun for Rs 22,000 crore.

''Madhya Pradesh has received investments in sectors like automobiles and auto components. We want to create an investor- friendly environment to derive more investments in the state,'' Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told reporters here today.

For the purpose, we have developed a more effective 'single table' concept in place of single window, the minister said.

A project clearance and implementation board has been set up where projects are being approved within 15 days and the entrepreneurs have an opportunity for providing clarifications, if any, he added.

According to a report of TATA services, from the view of implementation, Madhya pradesh is on the top with the project implementation ratio of 72 per cent, Mr Chouhan said, while addressing the global investors meet organised by industry chamber FICCI.

To boost the food-processing industry in the state, a seperate department has been established as well as food parks and export zones are being created, he said.

Meanwhile, in a strategic move to facilitate investment, Madhya Pradesh Government joined hands with FICCI in a bid to identify the potential projects, review of the state industrial policy and showcase 'MP' exhibition.

In this direction, a global investors summit would be held at Bhopal in January to attract investors attention.
