Patna, Aug 4 (UNI) Former state BJP president Gopal Narain Singh today refuted Leader of Opposition Rabri Devi's allegation that land was allotted to the former for establishing medical college flouting rules and regulations.

Mr Singh told mediapersons here that he was not allotted even an inch of land by the state government, saying he had only sought no objection certificate to establish a medical college and a hospital on Sasaram-Dehri road.

Ms Rabri Devi should have collected facts before levelling such allegation, he remarked.

She made the allegation after handing over a memorandum to Bihar Governor yesterday that Mr Singh was allotted land by the state government flouting rules and regulations.

He said noted film maker Prakash Jha and many others, who were interested in investing in Bihar, were getting full coperation from the state government.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had himself gone through all the records related to land allotment to Mr Jha and found nothing wrong in it, he clarified.

Mr Singh asked Ms Rabri Devi to offer constructive support to the state government in its initiative for alround development of Bihar.
