'Aperitivo' wins Governor's Cup (Grade-III)

Bangalore, Aug 4 (UNI) Rank outsider 'Aperitivo', ridden by C Alford, won The Governor's Cup (Grade-III), the main event of the races on the concluding day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting-2006, here today.

The winner is the property of Kolkata-based leading owner, Mr D Khaitan rep. Soom Stud Farm Pvt Ltd and trained by Vijay Singh.

Jockeys B Prakash and C Alford scored a treble each, while trainer S Ganapathy scored a double. Punters burnt their fingers as only two favourites obliged in a long card of nine events.
