Anandita makes it to Guinness record eating chilli

Guwahati, Aug 4 ((UNI) For Anandita Dutta Tamuli eating 60 red hot chillies in just two minutes and applying the fiery vegetable to her eyes comes naturally.

The young mother of a son demonstrated this otherwise 'dangerous' feat here recently drawing a thunderous applause from the audience.

Hailing from Titabor in Upper Asom, Anandita had just returned after recording the unique feature for 'Shabash India' episode in Zee TV to be telecast on August 29.

She has now been invited by the Guinness Book of World Records authorities to demonstrate her ability.

Asom Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has announced that his government will bear the travelling expenditure of Anandita for her proposed London trip.

In a message here yesterday Mr Gogoi conveyed his best wishes to Anandita so that she could bring more laurels to the state by establishing a Guinness world record in chilli eating.

Anandita developed her chilli eating practice since childhood.

She had used some mild chilli preparations to cure a disorder of the tongue when she was just five-year-old.

Since then she had developed the habit of eating chillis, even the hottest variety locally called ''Bhoot Jalakia''.
