60 Gastro cases detected in Kolhapur district

Kolhapur, Aug 4 (UNI) About 60 people have been affected by Gastro disease in Hasurchmpu village in Gadhinglaj tehsil of this district, according to District Health Office(DHO) sources here today.

The sources said that the seven patients whose condition was reported serious, have been hospitalised. Five of them have been hospitalised in Sub-district hospital, Gadhinglaj, whereas two of them have been admitted in private hospitals.

About 30 people complained of desentery and vomiting on Wednesday whereas 25 Gastro cases were detected yesterday, the sources said and added that the disease is under control today.

Necessary staff with medicines has been sent to the village to conduct survey of the patients and take necessary precautionary measures, the sources said and added that DHO T A More is also camping at the area to monitor the situation.
