Two arrested in connection with Olavakkod sandalwood robbery

Palakkad, Aug 3 (UNI) The CBI sleuths, who are investigating the strong room robbery at Olavakkod forest office, today arrested two persons in connection with Sandalwood robbery.

The arrested were Abdul Rahiman and Monu from Mannarkkad and Malappuram, respectively.

The robbery took place in 2002 February.

The robbers, who broke open a strong room of the forest department, took away sandal oil and ivory worth more than Rs 3.5 crore.

The CBI started investigation in 2004.

The accused would be produced before the court tomorrow.
