Richard Boucher arriving tomorrow to discuss N deal
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Richard Boucher, will arrive here tomorrow for talks with Indian officials on the India-US nuclear deal, strengthening bilateral strategic partnership and counter-terrorism.
Mr Boucher, who arrives on a four-day visit, will also have discussions with political and business leaders and civil society members on a wide range of issues, the US Embassy here said.
The India visit is part of a trip that includes stops in the UAE, China, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In India, his itinerary includes Kolkata besides the national capital.
Mr Boucher will pursue the agenda outlined by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush to advance the India-US strategic partnership and review regional and global issues and cooperation against terrorism, the embassy said.
In Kolkata, he will have meetings with officials and representatives of the civic society, it said.
