Probe sexual harassment case against school principal: HC to DCP
Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police to personally investigate sexual harassment case against a school Principal.
A Division Bench comprising Justices R M Lodha and N H Patil, while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL), directed Zone 10 DCP to personally oversee the investigation in the case alleging molestation of a student's mother by the principal of Fatima High School in Vidyavihar in north east Mumbai.
The court was earlier told, the petitioner's daughter wanted to appear for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination from the said school as an external student. To allow her to sit for the exams, the Principal allegedly asked sexual favours from the petitioner.
According to the petitioner, he also used to send her vulgar SMSs besides he would call her to his office on various occasions to seek sexual favours from her.
Regarding vulgar SMSs, the DCP has been asked to find out details from the mobile company and take appropriate action.
