Prithviraj Chavan to offer 'chadar' on behalf of PM

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) A 'chadar' from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be offered at the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer Sharif.

The 'chadar' was handed over today by Dr Manmohan Singh to Mr Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.

Mr Chavan will offer the 'chadar' on behalf of the Prime Minister at the shrine during the annual Urs festival.

Thousands of devotees have offered 'chadars' at the dargah during the six-day festival that began last week.
