Non-ferrous metal prices rises on fresh industrial demand
Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) Non-ferrous metal prices rose on fresh industrial demand, according to traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) today.
In ferrous section : remained steady on moderate demand.
In non-ferrous section : zinc slab and lead ingots hiked by Rs 100 each per quintal on reduced stock supply.
Tin slab and nickel cathode rose by Re one and Rs five per kg on lesser stock supply.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 38,000, Copper utensils - Rs 33,000, Brass utensils - Rs 22,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,000, Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,800.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,700, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, Zinc slab - Rs 18,800, Lead ingots - Rs 6,300, Tin slab - Rs 487 (per kg), Nickel cathode - Rs 1,350 (per kg).
