Narayana Murthy's recipe for growth
Kolkata, Aug 03: The corporates have to ensure foreign capital to India and government needs to formulate rules to enable foreigners invest in the country, Infosys Technologies Ltd chairman and chief mentor N R Narayana Murthy said today.
Stressing on exports for growth of the economy, Narayana Murthy said the per capita agricultural output is very low in India and the only way for enhancing productivity is to mechanise agriculture productivity.
Agriculturists should be encouraged to be placed in low technology manufacturing, which could only be ensured through foreign investment and exports, the chief mentor said while addressing rotarians during a felicitation ceremony.
He said more needs to be done to ensure percolation of economic reforms to lower strata of economy.
"Poverty can only be solved through job and wealth creation and the entrepreneurs have to provide leadership by example," he added.
