Krishna water recedes, Sangli coming back to normal after floods

Sangli, Aug 3 (UNI) The flood-affected district is gradually limping back to normalcy as the flood waters have started receding in this district of Maharashtra.

The water level of Krishna river near Airwin bridge, which touched the 51-feet-mark on Tuesday was recorded at 46 feet this noon, still one feet above the danger mark, district collector office said.

The flood-affected district is gradually limping back to normal as the people were today seen coming out of homes and going for work after several days.

Flood waters were also receding in a number of villages which were inundated and whose communication and other links were snapped for the past few days, sources added.
