HUJI warns Panun Kashmir against organising Maha Shraadh
Jammu, Aug 3 (UNI) Pakistan-based banned terrorist outfit Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) has warned Panun Kashmir, a Kashmiri Pandits' organisation, against organising 'Maha Shraadh' (funeral rites of Hindus) in Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir on August 6.
Panun Kashmir convenor Dr Agnishekhar told media persons today that following the threat, his organisation has decided to organise 'Maha Shraadh' on the banks of the Chenab river in Akhnoor.
''Kashmiri Pandits, who have been part and parcel of policies of former Governor Jagmohan and have since left their houses, are being strongly warned to desist from the plans and activities which are aimed at undermining our struggle,'' said the letter, dated July 27 and written in Urdu.
In a joint statement, outfits like al-Farin, al-Nasreen, Farzandani millat and Save Kashmir Movement had made compulsory for the Pandits to 'beg pardon' for all the omissions and commissions.
They had also demanded to beg pardon for the 'heinous crimes' they have committed and if they did not accept this conditions, the doors for their return to the valley would be closed for good.
