HC gives police a week to verify grounds for Sharma's bail plea

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) The Delhi High court today granted Delhi police one week to verify the medical grounds cited by former IG R K Sharma, prime accused in Shivani Bhatnagar's murder case, to seek bail.

Justice B D Ahmad agreed with the submission of Delhi police counsel Mukta Gupta, that health grounds, referred to by R K Sharma, call for further scrutiny.

Hence, he allowed the state one week's time to complete the procedure, posting the next date for hearing the bail plea to August 10.
