Talking to newspersons here, he said some people ''trapped the Tantri'' in the controversy. All the matters related to the controversy will be investigated thoroughly and the guilty will be punished, he added.
Later, Travancore Devaswom Board President G Raman Pillai said the TDB was sticking to its decision to replace Kandararu Mohanararu from performing poojas at Sabarimala following the controversy that he was involved in a sexual abuse case.
He said the TDB had asked the head of the Kantararu family, Kantararu Maheswararu, to conduct the ''Nira puthari'' ceremony at Sabarimala Ayyappa temple on August nine.
Board Member Punaloor Madhu said the TDB had already written a letter to Maheswararu informing him about his removal from the post of officiating Tantri after the scandal surfaced.
The TDB had also asked Maheswararu to perform the ''Nira puthari'' (offering of first crop) to Lord Ayyappa, Mr Madhu said ''No communication has come from Maheswararu refusing to perform the ceremony,'' he added.
