DD-India Channel to be widely visible in US, Canada and UK soon

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Doordarshan has entered into agreements for the distribution of DD-India Channel in Canada and US and a similar agreement for distribution in the UK was under finalisation.

Giving this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of Information&Broadcasting P R Dasmunsi said DD-India carries news bulletins, features on topical events, entertainment programmes, feature films, music and dance including children programmes in some regional languages.

He said the content medley of DD-India Channel is expected to serve the interests and needs of the Indian diaspora.

A study on the reach and impact of DD-India channel in West Asian countries is also on the anvil, said Mr Dasmunsi.
