Centre agrees to set up STPI centre at Gulbarga in Karnataka
New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) The Centre has agreed to set up a Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) centre at Gulbarga in Karnataka for which the State Government has to make available land and grant-in-aid.
'' Government of India has agreed for setting up of STPI centre at Gulbarga,'' Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Shakeel Ahmad informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
He said for setting up of STPI centre at Gulbarga, the State Government has to make available three acres of land, 10,000 square feet of built-up space and a grant-in-aid of Rs one crore to the STPI.
The State Government had approached the Centre for setting up of two STPI centres at Gulbarga and Belgaum, the Minister said.
