Boost in allocation of funds for minorities
Patna, Aug 3 (UNI) Bihar government has increased allocation of funds in the budget for minority welfare schemes from Rs 3.5 crores in the previous year to Rs 19 crores during the current financial year.
An official statement said today that state minority welfare department would allot the funds for construction of minority hostels in five new districts Shekhpura, Arwal, Lakhisarai, Jamui and Sheohar.
The department has also increased the funds for construction of 'Haz-Bhawan'from Rs 3.27 crores to Rs 5.82 crores.
State minorities financial corporation has distributed loan to the tune of Rs 2.74 lakhs among 487 beneficiaries in 22 districts of Bihar, the statement claimed.
