Babloo Srivastava is Dawood's ultimate target: Shooter

Lucknow, Aug 3 (UNI) Jailed mafioso Babloo Srivastava was the ''ultimate target'' of don Dawood Ibrahim, a D-company lieutenant said today.

Noor Baksh, who was in the Uttar Pradesh capital for a court hearing, told reporters that dons Dawood and Chotta Rajan have once again joined hands.

The two had fallen apart after the Mumbai blasts. Later, Dawood had reportedly sent a team under Noor to eliminate Rajan in Bangkok.

But Rajan escaped with bullet wounds.

Noor claimed while Dawood and Rajan have joined hands, Babloo Srivastava was the ''ultimate target'' of the underworld kingpin.

''Haan...Babloo bhai abhi bhi target hai,'' he added.

Noor, who managed to escape from police custody twice, was arrested by the Special Task Force of the UP police from the capital city on November 24, 2005.

He was arrested for the first time on October 3, 2000 here. But, on May 15, 2001, he escaped from police custody, while being taken to Naini Central jail in Allahabad.

With the help of Delhi Police, he was once again caught on May 19, 2001 from the national capital. He once again gave cops a slip, when was being taken to Bangalore to appear in a fake passport case on October 18, 2005.

While Noor claims he is from the UAE, STF believes he belongs to Afghanistan.
