Annapurna appointed RJD's new Legislature party leader

Ranchi, Aug 03 (UNI) Jharkhand's Koderma MLA Annapurna Devi has been nominated leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Legislature party.

Senior RJD leader and in-charge of Jharkhand Ramai Ram announced here that Mr Videsh Singh had been appointed deputy and Ramchandra Chandravanshi and Prakash Ram were appointed chief whip and whip respectively.

Talking to mediapersons, Mr Ram said all misunderstanding among the party leaders had been sorted out and these appointments done with the consent of central leadership.

Mr Ram said the leaders were united and the party would take stern action against those found in anti-party activities.

On the issue of Palamu Parliamentary seat, he said the party would give its candidate to Palamu by-poll. The seat fell vaccant following the resignation of RJD MP Manoj Kumar after being caught in a sting operation, which showed him of taking money.

Making a clear stand over Koderma by-poll, he said any decision would be taken only after discussing the UPA partners.

The Koderma Parliamentary seat was vaccant following resignation of Babulal Marandi.
