Airtel Mega FWP launched in Chennai

Chennai, August 3: Airtel, India's leading telecom services provider, today launched 'Airtel Mega' Fixed Wireless Phone (FWP) services in the city.

Tamil Nadu ADGP (Prisons) V Balachandran launched the product in the presence of Bharati Airtel CEO P Swaminathan.

Airtel Mega fulfills the customer needs for an innovative home phone service with the advantages of instant availability, feature-rich instrument and mobility within the premises, said Mr Swaminathan.

It comes with the additional benefit of a unique after-sales service model.

With the launch of this innovative FWP service, Airtel completed its entire telecom services portfolio for all segments, Mr Swaminathan told reporters.

Operating on GSM network, Airtel Mega is available in attractive postpaid and prepaid tariff plans, it would be rolled out progressively across the Airtel's wireless network, spanning the entire urban landscape and over 10000 villages in Tamil Nadu, added Mr Swaminathan.
