AASU urge Asom to give land to Infosys

Guwahati, Aug 03 (UNI) The All Asom Students Union (AASU) today urged the Asom Government to give land to Infosys for opening their centre.

Infosys chief mentor Narayan Murthy is coming here tomorrow on a day-long visit.

The AASU had gone forward and asked the government not to miss the opportunity and grant land to the Infosys.

The AASU wanted that Asom should use the opportunity to turn it into an IT-empowered state.

The AASU today sent a letter also to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and said since Infosys had set up many centers in the country, they should be given red carpet for setting up campuses in Asom.

The Infosys chief would meet the Asom Government officials.
