8 children die of diarrhoea

Mainpuri, Aug 3 (UNI) At least eight children have died and over 500 taken ill in the last one week in the district.

Official sources today said Lankush (3) of village Rathera died of diarrhoea, taking the toll at eight so far.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) K N Gupta said medicines were being distributed in the affected villages.

The doctors have also been warned against laxity in providing medical help to the needy.
