7 killed, 17 hurt in road accident in Indore

Indore, Aug 3 (UNI) Seven people were killed and 17 injured when a speeding truck rammed into a taxi tempo on Nemawar Road here this morning.

Five people were killed on the spot and two others succumbed to injuries in the hospital, police said, adding the injured were being treated at M Y Hospital and Bombay Hospital.

PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya announced an immediate solatium of Rs 25,000 each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 10,000 each to the injured.

Of the dead, four were yet to be identified, police said.
