7 killed, 17 hurt in road accident

Indore, Aug 3 (UNI) Seven people were killed and 17 others injured when a speeding truck rammed into a taxi tempo on Nemawar Road here this morning.

Five persons were killed on the spot and two others in hospital, police said, adding the injured were being treated at M Y Hospital and Bombay Hospital.

PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya announced immediate solatium of Rs 25,000 each to the next of kin of the dead and Rs 10,000 each to the injured.

Of the dead, four were yet to be identified, police said.
