Venugopala to lead Andhra in Buchi Babu tourney

Vijayawada, Aug 2 (UNI) Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) today announced that Y Venugopala Rao, who has played one-day internationals for the country, would lead the state team in the Mind Teck-Buchi Babu All India Invitation Tournament to be held at Chennai from August 14 to September 1.

Announcing the team here, former vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and ACA General Secretary N Venkata Rao said the Andhra team, which is in pool 'B', would play against Mumbai Colts in their opening three-day match from August 14.

Mr Rao said the team would also take on Madhya Pradesh from August 22 to 24.
