Unskilled workers to produce medical certificate for jobs

Dubai, Aug 2 (UNI) Indian unskilled workers seeking jobs in Qatar will now be required to produce medical certificates from authorised medical institutions in the home country.

The government, which has made it mandatory for foreign labourers and unskilled workers to get a medical certificate before departing for Qatar, has again reminded manpower and recruitment agencies about the new regulations.

The Labour Department of the Ministry of Civil Service Affairs has said the new regulations have been implemented from mid-June, Arabic daily said today.

The medical document has to be from a certified health facility in their respective countries in order to recieve permission to work in Qatar.
