TVS Motor bike sales up 28 pc in July'06

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) TVS Motor Co has for the month of July sold 68,335 motorcycles, as compared to 53,215 units in the similar month last year, an increase of 28 per cent.

During the month, it crossed the cumulative 8,00,000 unit mark, a company release said.

The company's total two-wheeler sales in July clocked 1,21,462 units (1,01,359 units). TVS Scooty sales clocked 25,356 units last month, as against 24,244 units in the same month last year.

In the same period, TVS Motor Co exported 10,382 units, reflecting a growth of 15 per cent over the same period last year, the release added.
