Students, parents take morcha to Akola ZP office

Akola, Aug 2 (UNI) Students, parents from several villages in this district took out a morcha at the Akola Zilla Parishad office, in protest of non-availability of teachers at various schools in villages here.

Students, parents from nearby Dudhlam, Kurankhed, Sonkhas, Borgaon Khurd, Dabki Jahangir, Ramgaon, Bahirkhed, Kolimbi and Dalimbi villages participated in the morcha organised yesterday afternoon. They also demanded immediate suspension of the Akola Panchayat Samiti Block Development Officer (BDO), allegedly responsible for transfer, deputation of teachers creating shortage of teaching staff at various places here.

Meanwhile, Akola ZP president Mr Balmukund Bhirad and vice president Mr B R Sirsat assured the participants of the morcha of immediate action and provision of teachers at primary ZP schools in the rural parts.
