Srinivas to participate in World Youth chess olympiad

Vijayawada, Aug 2 (UNI) Dasari Sai Srinivas will leave for Turkey on August 5 to participate in the world youth (U-16) chess olympiad at Agri state from August 6 to 13.

Srinivas along with four players from Tamil Nadu would represent the country at the chess olympiad, his father D A V V Prasad told UNI here.

Srinivas had taken part in several world, commonwealth and Asian chess events, bagging one gold, four silver and a bronze so far.

Mr Prasad said Srinivas would also participate in the Asian Youth (U-16) chess tournament to be held in Kyrgyzstan from september 2.
