MP to showcase road show in New Delhi on Aug 4

Bhopal, Aug 2 (UNI) Aimed at motivating Non-resident Indians (NRIs) to invest in the state, the first road show by Madhya Pradesh would be performed in New Delhi on August 4.

''Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would inaugurate the website of Global Investors Summit - 2007 during the road show -- to be organised at FICCI house in the national capital,'' Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur told a press conference here today.

The Chief Minister would interact with industrialists and mediapersons and present the government's view towards industrial development in the state.

He hoped that the road show could attract several crores of investment. At present, investment worth Rs 87,000 crore was under various stages of implementation.

The Commerce Minister said the government had decided to conduct similar road shows in California, Singapore, Japan and China besides other places in the country.

Regarding preparations for two-day Global Destination-Madhya Pradesh on January 4-5, 2007, he said he met FICCI General Secretary Dr Amit Mitra and senior office bearers in New Delhi in this regard.

During his two-day visit, he reviewed the preparations for road show and directed officials to take steps for attracting new investment.
