Aizawl, Aug 2 (UNI) Mizoram government has come out a new strategy of seeking public opinion to help eradicate the increasing unemployment menace in the state.

The government would be making a comprehensive blue-print from the public opinion, which would be submitted to the Planning Commission for the state's 11th five year plan, said official sources.

State chief secretary Haukhum Hauzel convened a public meeting with former bureaucrats, academicians and NGOs here today for the first time to generate more employment oppurtunities.

Emphasising to increase IT enabled services, he said communicational bottle-neck and backwardness were responsible for slow economic growth.

Mr Hauzel told UNI that sustainable employment generation would be prioritised in state's eleventh five year plan.

The meeting concluded that state should encourage the IT services and it would also set up a youth commission, said Mr Hauzel.

More than 40,000 youth are still jobless and among them are 200 Medical and Engineering graduates, who have already registered with the state Labour and Employment department, official records stated.

The record further revealed that the unemployment is also substantially increasing every year.
