Delhi School to file Rs 20 crore defamation suit against NDTV
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) A Delhi School today said it will file a Rs 20 crore defamation suit against the TV channel NDTV 24x7 for claiming that an official of the school sought ''bribes'' for admitting students.
''The news telecast by NDTV shows no transaction of money or any such demand for admission by any school authorities by camera hidden or open,'' the Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan, said in a press statement.
The school, which has already filed a complaint with the police in the matter, rejected the ''sting'' operation by the channel as a fictional drama, aimed at jacking up its viewership.
