Accredition process of dope control centre begins
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) India would not have to rely on foreign dope testing centres for long as the accreditation process of the Dope Control Laboratory has started, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said here today.
He also stated that the laboratory was equipped enough to meet the WADA requirements.
''As per the provisions of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the laboratory is required to analyse a minimum of 1500 dope control samples per year,'' My Aiyar said in a written reply in Lok Shabha.
''At present, the centre was analyzing more than 2000 samples a year,'' he added.
