Vijay Singh new Road Transport and Highways Secretary

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Mr Vijay Singh, an IAS officer of the 1970 batch (Madhya Pradesh cadre), today assumed charge as Secretary, Road Transport and Highways.

He succeeds Mr L K Joshi, who has taken over as Secretary in the Department of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Mr Singh had earlier worked as Secretary (AYUSH) in the Health and Family Welfare Ministry and as Chief Secretary, Madhya Pradesh, besides holding several other important assignments in the Central and state governments.
