UBI revises rates on FCNR, NRE deposits

Kolkata, Aug 01 (UNI) United Bank of India (UBI) today announced marginal reduction in interest rates on FCNR and NRE deposits.

The rates for NRE term deposits for one year to less than two years would be 6.54 per cent (6.70 per cent), two years to less than three years would be 6.44 per cent (6.70 per cent) and three years would be 6.42 per cent (6.70 per cent), the Bank said in a statement here today.

The FCNR(B) term deposits for US dollars would vary from 5.54 per cent for one year to two years to 5.46 per cent for five years.

The FCNR(B) term deposits in case of GBP would vary from 5.04 per cent for one year to two years to 5.11 per cent for five years while in case of Euro it would vary from 3.55 per cent for one year to two years to 3.96 per cent for five years period.

The NRE(SB) would be 3.50 per cent per annum from November 17, 2005.
