Trial runs begin on Delhi-Rewari section of N Railway

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Trial runs today began on the broad gauge line of the New Delhi-Rewari section of the Northern Railways, expected to become operational later this month, sources in the Northern Railway said.

Trail runs on the line, which will continue till August 5, will be accompanied by inspection of the line by the commissioner for railway safety, the sources said.

After the clearance by the commissioner for railway safety, the broad gauge line will be opened to railway traffic.

Till now, most of the trains on the section had been running on the meter gauge line.

The New Delhi-Rewari section had been closed down to railway traffic on December 1 last year due to conversion from meter gauge line to broad gauge line.
