Surya Airlines to introduce flights in Tripura
Agartala, Aug 1 (UNI) Surya Airlines will starts its inaugural flight from here connecting the entire North East from October.
The 19-seater state-of-the-art aircraft will connect the capital city with Guwahati, Silchar, Shillong, Imphal and other major NE cities.
Speaking to reporters here, Chairman of Surya airlines K Balachandran Nair, who is also the Chairman of Global Education Net (GENET), said the process of starting the inaugural flight had already been taken up.
''The Director General of Civil Aviation has already assured us that everything will be finalised by September-end and the flight can be started from October. A final date will be announced later,'' he said.
He also added that flights from here will be operated to three other airfields of the state--Khowai, Kailashahar and Kamalpur. The 1900 D aircraft will be procured from the United States, he said.
