Sensex trades 60 pts down in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) The BSE Sensex has been down by 60 points in the intra-noon trade, as the weakness in the global market persists.
Currently, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) is trading at 10,683.91 points.
All the indices on the BSE are down in the red, except the consumer durables sector, which has maintained its upward streak since the opening. It is trading up 0.26 per cent.
Major gainers on the index are - L&T, BHEL, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Auto and Infosys, all up between 0.14 and 1.09 per cent.
The losers are - Reliance Communications, Hindalco, HDFC Bank, Cipla, Hero Honda, Reliance Energy, Gujarat Ambuja Cement, SBI, Tata Motors and Tata Steel, all down between 1.25 and 2.95 per cent.
