Sehwag denies Wright's allegation on selection of players

Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) Team India Vice-Captain Virendra Sehwag today denied that there was any regional bias in the selection of players, as alleged by former coach John Wright in his book' Indion Summers.' ''There is no bias in the selection of players for the team. Only performance is taken into consideration,'' he asserted, addressing a press conference on the concluding day of the week-long fitness camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here.

Asked how Wright could write on those lines, Sehwag said the question should be posed to him.

The former New Zealand Captain, who had a five-year stint as Team India Coach, had alleged that there were bias in the selection of players by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee.
