The Border Security Force apprehended a person, with fake notes and a pistol in his possession, when he was riding a bicycle along the Bangladesh border late last night.

The BSF sources said when they chased Robiul Gazi, he made an abortive attempt to open fire but was soon nabbed and disarmed by the BSF.

The BSF sources said following interrogation of the accused, a 22-year-old youth from Soladana Village Sk Omar Ali was caught and several indiscriminating documents were seized from his house.

The BSF intelligence did not rule out the possibility of Omar's involved in the recent Mumbai blasts. The latter might be further interrogated, intelligence sources said, to find his link with the Mumbai blast.
