New industrial policy for K'taka within 10 days

Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will announce a new industrial policy within ten days with a stress on making the state investor-friendly, Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said today.

Addressing a function organised to distribute State-level Export Awards here, he said the State Government was keen on providing facilities to investors at par with the neighbouring states.

The Government was committed to provide all facilities for industial growth. Exports from the state had crossed 100 billion Dollars and was expected to reach 150 billion dollars in the next couple of years. Exports were growing at over 35 per cent for the last four years, he said.

Thirty-five export awards were distributed in different categories at the function.
